Orchard at White Street Park

The first public orchard in the Southeast, the Orchard at White Street Park will feature a fully functional orchard, lawn areas for relaxation and play, a pavilion, winding pathways, and natural construction children’s play features throughout the one acre site.  The orchard will open to the community and public during our grand opening celebration on Sunday, October 22nd at 2pm. The Orchard at White Street Park will provide families with a fun and engaging space that changes through the seasons, encourages creative and self-guided outdoor play, and grows fresh fruit.

Led by Suwanee residents Roger and Brittany Grant, volunteers have been hard at work getting the orchard ready for its opening day.  Over the summer, volunteers have installed trellises, added additional drainage, and begun planting grasses that will be featured prominently in the landscape. During upcoming work days, we’ll plant grasses, fruit trees, and willow planting for children’s playground features.

Like Harvest Farm, the orchard is a volunteer maintained project and we need your help!
